Elijah's Trip To The Giant Redwood Forest

Here's Elijah and the family hiking through the Giant Redwood forest in California. Boy was that a neat experience...! This photo was taken during our trip to visit Monica's parents at the end of May.

Quick side note: I've had computer problems the past 3 weeks. My dell computer crashed and it's been in the computer hospital for a couple of weeks now. I recently bought a new toshiba laptop and for some reason it won't publish photos. I must need to adjust some settings or something.... Anyway, I published this photo from Monica's computer...

We Have a Toddler...!

Elijah took a bunch of steps yesterday. We'll be having a todder in no time...! I'm having trouble publishing photos with my new computer. Some of the new programs are not familiar to me but I'll get the hang of it in the next few days...

Almost Walking...

Elijah is standing on his own now but hasn't walked yet. I'm hoping he waits until he gets back to Texas so I can see him take his first steps. He and the family return home this Saturday. He is 10 months old now...!

Elijah Update... At one week shy of 10 months old Elijah is starting to stand up on his own. He still has four teeth, 2 top and 2 bottom. He is trying to talk. You can tell he's trying to mimic what we are saying. It almost sounded like Elijah said 'Daddy' yesterday and he was looking right at me like he was really speaking to me... That was really a cool feeling for me. He's trying to say Moma, Kitty, and Cookie, too...! I can't wait to start having real conversations with Elijah....!

Dear Elijah,

Here's a quick personal note from Daddy just letting You know what a fine baby you are...! At nearly 10 months you've already got a great personality...! You are still a very happy, smiley baby...! At 9 months 3 weeks old you are not walking yet, but are standing a lot and getting stronger every day. I expect you'll start walking any time now.

Oh, we bought you your very own Babolat tennis racquet yesteday. You really like it, and it's just the right size for you...!

More later... Just know how much Daddy, Mommy, and Connor love You and consider you the greatest blessing in our lives...!

Elijah's Big Adventure...!

Elijah loved his time with the dolfins at the Texas State Aquarium in Corpus Christi. And from the looks of this last photo the dolfins thought Elijah was pretty interesting, too...! We look forward to taking him back to the aquarium again when he's a little older...!

Four Teeth and Counting....

Here's a photo of Elijah at 5 or 6 months before he had any teeth... Now at 9 months he's already got 4 teeth...! (Two upper and two lower) Yes, our little baby is growing up...!

Elijah likes sippy cups but he also enjoys to drink from a regular glass like a grown up. (with help from mom or dad of course..)

Another Toy for Elijah

I'm not sure what this thing is called but it's some kind of walker. Elijah loves it and he can move around in it on his own pretty good on our kitchen and dining room floor. Elijah will be 9 months old in jut a few days... Still a happy, smiley baby. Woohoo...!

This new swing attaches to any door way. We mostly use it in the kitchen or office to keep Elijah occupied while we work on cooking or computer projects... As You can see he's pretty happy with his new swing...!

Elijah's First Easter

Dear Elijah,

Hi Sweet Baby...! Yesterday was your first Easter. I was working at a tennis tournament all weekend, but Mommy took you to church and said you had a great time...! We went to Pappasitos in Sugarland for dinner and you ate a lemon... You really like lemons.

These past few weeks have been big weeks for your development. You are very close to walking all by your self. You are extremely strong and pull your self up all the time. You are just starting to cut your first teeth at 8 months 3 weeks...!

Wow...! It won't be long before you're 9 months old. You are just an amazing baby, Elijah. I missed you a lot this weekend. I'm going to spend a bunch of extra time with you this week to make up for that lost time.

Big Week For Elijah

As you can see Elijah likes the Bumbo Seat. It makes it a whole lot easier for him to sit up.

He's got plenty of toys to keep him occupied... And the bumbo seat is positioned in front of the TV for Sesame Street viewing...!

The only problem is scratching the itch on the the bottom of his foot...!

Elijah's moving out of the baby stage and starting to become a toddler...! He's not quite walking yet but he's standing up all the time... He's pretty much out grown the Bumbo Seat now but I thought these were some cute pictures... Tomorrow I'll post some standing up photos...!

Elijah in His Baby Bed

Elijah loves his baby bed. In the first photo he's playing with the aquarium activity center. In the second photo he lost his balance and fell backwards and thought it was funny. It the photo above he's starting to pull himself up to stand. It won't be long before he's walking around....!

Elijah and Mom at The 72nd Annual River Oaks International

Here's a nice photo of Mom and son at River Oaks Country Club on the opening night of the Professional Clay Court Tournament. Elijah was very well behaved the entire evening. It was a fun night of exciting professional tennis!
